Hey everybody! This is Baino checking in as summer rapidly approaches! I didn’t get to go to Barbados with Ross and Han a few months ago, but I did get to go down to one of my favorite surf destinations a couple of weeks ago…Costa Rica! As you can see, it was fantastic! I snapped these first few pictures after a great session at Playa Negra (of Endless Summer II fame). In fact, we’ve officially begun planning for a possible Surf Hatteras Spring Break Session in Costa next year! So you intermediate and advanced surfers, stay tuned. Around this time next year, when the water is freezing cold up here, you could be with Ross and me in perfect surf, sunny skies, and 80 degree water! I love Costa Rica, especially Playa Grande on the North Pacific Coast, which has been a kind of second home to me over the last 12 years. Here’s a picture of the whole bay and the Tamarindo River that I took from up in the hills: Its my favorite place on Earth (okay, well, number 2 behind Hatteras). It’s almost always clean, offshore, and consistently at least chest high. And I’m really excited about the possibility of bringing some of y’all down there with me to surf, explore, relax, and meet some of my local friends… Here are a few more pics from Playa Grande, right out front of where I always stay: Not bad huh? Its an amazing place, and we’re really excited about a possible Spring Break Adventure Session down in Costa Rica!!! So stay tuned. But for now, its time to get excited for this summer!!!
